I've seen on some RV forums where people have began using polyglow or red max pro to shine fiberglass or gelcoat. It offers protection from the elements as well. Some have successfully used it on car finishes. My question is...Can something like this be used on a painted steel trailer? If not, what are some suggestions to protect this recently painted trailer?? Thanks!

Many "new" paints are single part, Valspar urethane automotive variants. They are much improved over the older enamels, that were often applied over bare steel with no primer. They would often start rusting with the first exposure to rain.

Any marine or automotive wax with a high UV protectant will do well to protect your paint. The marine waxes are specifically designed for the extreme UV exposures, and will work as well on fiberglass as they do paint.
