Just returned from a hot weekend at a relatively new horse camp(to us anyway)near Pineville, MO. Owned and operated by Rick Bousefield Jr. Camp has both primitive and electric hook up for your horse trailer, camper, tent etc. There is no water hookup, but you have access to a water hydrant to fill your tanks with. There is an easy and close access to the Big Sugar Creek, where you can take your horse for watering or for swimming for both of you. You do have to share it with people with canoes and other swimmers, but we had no problems. The trails are great and typical of the Huckleberry ridge area where you can ride as much or little as you want. Shoes on horses are recommended. The camp itself is as neat and clean as a pin. Rick Jr was a great host, our site was level and clean. No permanent stalls for the horses, but you can high line or set up your portable corral which we did under some large trees so the horses had lots of shade. There were simple clean shower stalls and clean bathrooms. The whole camp is as clean as any we have seen. We and our friends had a great time and plan on returning. Rick Jr. does have a website on the internet, so you can look him up there to find rates and pictures. We of course forgot our camera so have no pics to post. We recommend this horse camp to anyone.

That is a great campground, we have enjoyed going there too. Ricky Jr. is a fabulous host.
