Weve been on "vacation" for the last week in Dallas and it has done nothing but rain.  I tried to blow it up that way for you but my asthma wouldn't let me blow hard enough.  I'll try to find more people to help me.

My grass was the same way.  Finally getting some rain. After a good rain it will take a week for the grass to green up.

You need to be doing an indian rain dance, cut the grass, wash & wax cars & trucks.  One or all tricks usually work for me.

.

It rained here yesterday afternoon for the first time in ages an I swear the grass was brown yesterday morning and green this morning. Mother nature working overtime.  Too late for our hay though.....maybe a second cutting will be better.

We're dry up here in Illinois (southern) also. Did get our 1st cutting of hay. But not sure for 2nd. Pastures are getting slim and none. Hate the thoughts of feeding hay this early.. COME ON RAIN!!!!!!!

I cancelled my order for rain and I'm sending it your way instead.  My boys would like to take off their horsey-sized water wings.  TWO years.... NO rain.... now we're getting drowned.  Ugh.

The southern Red River (of the North) Valley is really wet so far. I'm hoping my tax assessor doesn't come by, now that I have lakeshore property.

Well, still no rain.  The storm we were supposed to get Tuesday gave us all of about 12 raindrops.  My county is now under a burn ban.  There is a 30% chance for Saturday, but I'm not holding my breath.

RIDE ON!

We'll send you some from SW OK and Southern OK...I'm getting tired of giving swimming lessons!  Even my Chocolate Labradors are confused by "Noah's flood" as it known around here.  The ticks are crazy bad and nothing will stop them from biting, they are literally falling from the trees!

The drought got so bad in North Texas last year we got water rationing and they even threatened to stop all water usage and halt new construction!

If I had my pick it'd be right down the middle, but on a positive note we are already past our first hay cutting and the corn is over my head.

Corn over your head??? I wish!  The corn here is just barely knee high.  Our neighbor is very concerned that he will not hve enough silage for his dairy cows.

RIDE ON!

There's only one thing that I've ever found that works when we need rain on our crops here in Arkansas.Tried and true,by my dad who farmed all his life.

He prayed for it.

Woo Hoo!!  The horse show got rained out last night!!  We had about half an inch last night and it has sprinkled off and on for most of the day today.  Of course, we need a lot more, but this is a good start.  Keep it coming!!

RIDE ON!

Hey be careful what you ask for!

It has been 9 months since measurable rain here!!  But...we irrigate, so lots of beautiful hay, alfalfa, and even 4-way grain hay.

BUUUUUT..... it costs $10.00 to $14.00 a 100lb bale!!!

It is also as I type, 104F degrees, and 11% humidity , so my "kids" are on misters to keep cool.

We would love to have a couple gully washer rains to green up the trails that is for sure.

We had 2 years of drought here in my area. Burn bans, had to buy 2 truckloads of hay from out of state last year, finally sold most of the cows, etc., etc. Then this year, RAIN! Now we are waiting for the window between rains to be able to bale our own hay again. Every time we get ready to bale, it starts raining. Lots of people around here have cut and then it rained before they could get baled, or rained on the bales befoe they could get loaded up. I hear complaints from people saying they wish it would stop for awhile, but not me. I am so very thankful for the change, because I know when it stops it will probably really stop. Again.

I'm always thankful for rain.Never complain about it.Might say respectfully,"sure wish it would stop for a while." That's about it.
