I have the Tekonsha model that is one below the Prodigy, based on a recommendation that electric over hydraulic systems don't like the pulsing of the Prodigy. I've beeen happy with it, though if I was doing it again I would look for something with digital settings - just for easy to re-gain settings for different loads and different trailers.
I'm still not remembering the model name, maybe later. I'll try to remember to make a note of it the next time I'm in the truck.

You have a Voyager. I had one before and, while they are good ones, I always had a hard time getting it set up for 2 different trailers. We have no place nearby that is actually level and long enough to set and test it and with 2 trailers, one monster and one 2H BP, I felt it was a major pain in the butt!

I'll check the web for Primus. Thanks!I just checked the web site on Primus and it never mentions electric over hydraulic brakes. Are you sure it works with them? I did see one called Hayes-Lemmerz Genesis wchich says is works with E/H brakes. It looks like it is simple to use but I have never heard of that brand.

Might want to check with your E/H unit's manufacturer. Different ones seem to recommend different controllers. I know I've seen some that accept the Prodigy, and some don't. On those that do, the Prodigy is nice because the "boost" feature gets the E/H unit spooled up quicker for action. I've used a Prodigy on the new Dexter unit & it worked well.

I have a Prodigy now but Tekonsha says it will not work with electric over hydraulic. (what a shame!!) I called a brake controller distributer and talked to them. They highly recommended the Genesis. I know the Voyager is what many people use but it is just such a pain to change back and forth for different weight trailers! I love the self leveling and digital systems!

I have the Voyager on the truck and the Primus on the Durango.
The only reason for this is the sequence that I bought things in.
Since the truck is used for either trailer it makes more sense to have the Primus on that vehicle, the Durango can only pull the b/p (obviously).
So, I'll probably swap them around to get the more easily repeatable settings in the vehicle that tows the most variations. I'll report back on how the Primus works with (or against) the Carlisle pump.

Well after much internet searching and many phone calls to Elite, Carlisle, and a brake controller distributer, I ordered the Hayes-Lemmerz Genesis model. It is the one that Carlisle says will do the job for me. On the brake controller distributer web site, I found a section that fully explains the differences between brake controller types and found that the inertia type, like Voyager, are not really recommended for hilly areas. No wonder I hated mine!!! BTW, I talked with Tekonsha and the only one that they recommend for electric over hydraulic is the Voyager. To bad they don't get the Prodigy working for both brake types. I loved my Prodigy.

There is an adapter available that enables the Prodigy to be used with electric hydraulic brakes. It is about $85. It was necessitated when Ford came out with the built in brake controller. Guess what it is? It's a Prodigy in Ford clothing!! We are selling quite a few of them.

Finally got the new controller on the truck and drove both the little 2H and the big LQ. The controller is fantastic! Simple to set and provides a smooth, consistent stop for both the electric and the electric over hydraulic brakes. I highly recommend Hayes-Lemmerz.
