Hey there! Last summer my spare tire and ramp were stolen by someone. I need to find another aluminum tire aid ramp (and spare tire) and was wondering how much it's going to cost me and whether I even can buy one for my Blue Ribbon 3 horse slant.

You can find them for $25 to $50 depending on where you look. Almost all of the horsey Supply house catalogs have one in their catalog, Also places like Ebay or Amazon sell them.
But if you need a special fit so you can store it in that special place, You may want to call your trailer manfucture and buy one from them. I know on my Logan Coach the trailer tire ramp fits under the spare tire and acts as shelf for the spare tire to sit on when it's in it's spare location.

You are talking about a setup like the one in this picture below... Aluminum "trailer aid" underneath the spare. I would get it from the local Blue Ribbon dealer, or call the factory. Ask the dealer about a locking devise also....!! Did you contact your insurance company?

I guess it's just our fault and not anyone else's. The facility where I board tries to keep an eye on things and the barrel group that was in there, well, there are a lot of people from their group and the public coming in and out and who knows who took it? It could have been anyone and since noone saw anything, we will never know who was responsible. I don't hold the facility or the group responsible, I was just stating when it turned up missing. At the time we had agreed to buy the trailer from a friend but hadn't completed the financing. I didn't know you could lock the tire on or that that was a danger of being taken just sitting there. We've never had anything like that taken before or since during the shows - even the big ones. But, I guess it's always a danger when you have the public coming in in great numbers. Has anyone else had this problem with their tires and ramps getting taken? We didn't report it to the group and the facility has done it's best to find the missing ramp and has offered to get us another tire, but I think we're going to just go get replacements as we're starting to go out on the road now that it's spring and I don't like traveling without a spare on narrow mountain roads like we have! Being aluminum I was worried how much a ramp will cost. It looks like a spare will cost around $200.

I sorry you had the loss ... I only hope the thief of your ramp and wheel has some misfortune to make up the difference in Karma.
Since you're going to replace the rim too... Make sure it fits your trailer by trying it on. Just because it came from the dealer doesn't mean it's the correct bolt spacing. You don't want to discover this when you need to use the spare.

I would tell the group about the theft so every one will be on guard next time hope it works out for you and for the person that took your stuff there is a place for them

we keep all of ours (we have 3,for our trailers) locked in the dressing rooms.Too tempting sitting on the outside in full view as they can be used for different types of trailers.

If you know someone who is having some barn or deck construction, the treated 6" X 6" cut offs are easily made into tire aids, at no cost other than a few minutes labour. Make a paper template, using a photo as a guide or the outside radius of an actual tire. Affix it to the wood and cut the shape.
Most construction sites will have multiple scraps, so its easy enough to make several. If they end up missing, you are out very little, and know how to replace them.

I could have probably made dozens,after our barn was built,had I thought of it! Gard,I should have asked you about all of that scrap lumber instead of posting on Craigslist.
