Here in California many trailers use the Bulldog hitch connection. When you never go anywhere you have no idea if this connection is popular or not. I made a lock for Bulldog trailers not giving anyone anywhere any thought. If you would look at www.trailerlocksonline.com and then hit DaBull site button you shall see this connection in motion automatically..along with my lock. Just would like to know if this is a popular connection or not.Learning late in life that it is always better to plan knowing what to do... than to do then know. Ken

I would not ask this question if I knew the answers. And I would post the Bulldog hitch connection if I knew how to......but I do not know how to and for sure know not the answers. Ken

A lot of livestock trailers, here in the southwest at least, use bulldog hitches.  I like them.  Have never had any problems with them.  Don't know anything about a lock, but it shouldn't be too hard to figure one out.

Just having some trouble with only one person having a Bulldog hitch. So maybe if I asked.... what type of trailer ball connection do you have on your trailer?Just so 1 knows....about 4" behind where the trailer ball enters the trailer hitch...stamped within the metal is MUCH information. May be covered in paint but just the same...by law... it is there. Usually the brand...Fulton...Atwood etc. plus Patent numbers...model numbers...ball size and not painted on but stamped within the metal.Would appreciate any feedback...Ken

I had a bumper pull stock trailer with a Bulldog hitch, up until about three weeks ago, sold it.... Everything I got thats road worthy now has a bumper pull "pin hitch" or a gooseneck hitch.

Oregon/Washington aren't much different than CA.  The majority of trailers we see use the Bulldog hitch.

Nope not a thing. I just pick my parking spots wisely. The only lock that I have looked at that I couldn't figure out a way to pull the trailer away is a tire lock. Anything else it is simple.

Would you direct me to the tire lock.Every tire lock I have seen....you just hook up to the trailer and drive away. Some thing will give with the weights that the trailers usually have. I am stealing the trailer...so what if a little damage happens. Just my out look on what I think may happen if only one wheel has a lock on it. Ken

If you think they are useless, buy one, and none of the cheesy models that are out there for sale but a real strong unit...

Hook it up to a trailer and make a YouTube video to prove your point...we await we "Baited Breath"...

With just a coupler lock on it I can pull away with no damage and no one the wiser. Minimum you will have with a tire lock is a flat...not to mention that it is obvious when you have this big yellow thing sticking out of your tire. Agreed, most likely something will give, but likely after you have been noticed. Of course then if it doesn't give...have you ever tried to pull a trailer with the brakes locked up on one side? That is what it will pull like.

Here are two tire locks depending on style of wheel....

I live in a very small county. Have never even seen a wheel lock other than a picture of what I think is a sub standard model. So... in order to not get such a model would someone direct me to the model that is the one. Ken

I think the first one is the one that Paul likes, but I will let him speak for himself. I like either of them. There are other brands out there that are good.

Yes...the first one for bumper pull units and smaller non-LQ GN horse trailers...or if there are more than just your trailer at the location...Thieves are notoriously lazy...they'll take the trailer that is NOT secured... And yes...the second one would be nice for the larger trailers...I will probably order one for her C&C trailer and use the original unit for the wife's SKY REDLINE... I'm still advocating the latest security gizmo, I was told about... http://gps-snitch.com/
