I need to replace a few of those D rings inside my Exiss but can't find any at the hardware stores.  I only need them to secure the corner hay bag and I am putting a corner water tank in the rear tack and need to add D rings to put up the strap to secure it so I don't need the heavy duty weld on kinds.  Anyone know a good place to get or order some of these?  Do they need to be aluminum if they are fastened to aluminum inside the trailer??

Try a dive shop.
Stainless steel rings D or round in sizes from about 1 inch to 2 1/2 are (relatively) inexpensive.

I just put the dee-rings in my Exiss for corner feeders and also to be able to secure the divider back.  I got them at Tractor Supply.  Part Number:59108, UPC Code:064383591081

They are the same size as the dee- rings already in the trailer to attach the butt strap in back and the chest strap in the front escape door.  The only difference is that they are a gold color.

I found them on the aisle that has tie downs for securing loads in the hitch area and they were called tie-down rings.

Hope this helps!

I'd be concerned that "gold color" might indicate anodizing, i.e. aluminum.
I wouldn't want to use them for butt or chest bars, though for feeders they may be OK. For an application requiring strength and corrosion resistance I'd go for stainless, which is very unlikely to be gold colored - possible, but unlikely.

The rings I bought are rated at 1200 lbs max capacity - which should be fine for corner feeders.  In the TS catalog on page 234 they have rings rated up to 11,000 lbs max capacity.

I think the "gold color" is a coating put on them. They stated that they were zinc when Ibought them. I've had them in my trailer holding up my stud wall and feeders and they have never rusted or shown any corrosion, or signs of failing. My rivets holding in one of the feeders have given me fits, but not the dees.

Memory is the first thing to go - isn't it ? WAS it ?
(-:
I think there is a cadmium plating process that results in a yellow(ish) finish and it is effective in inhibiting corrosion - but as I said, memory...

I have looked in Lowes for the right kind of screws to install D-rings.  There are so many kinds of metel screws.  What kind of screws(or other gizmo) are the best for installing D-rings,etc onto aluminum.  Is there a specific process to put in the screws?  Thank you!

Found the D rings at Tractor Supply right in the towing section.  Cheap too.  Thanks!
