Has anyone replaced their RV door handle with a combination door lock like this?  Do you think it would work?

Should work, seen them on RVs and "high end" LQ horse trailers...

I wonder how they would work in freezing weather, with a keyed lock you can use liquid graphite or heat the key.

Works great I had two added on my new Elite trailer one on the LQ and rear tack door. It is so nice not to dig for keys. The trailer is only 5 months old, I hope they last.

I have a friend that has had one on his trailer for 10-12 years and seems to be holding up just fine.

There is a new combination lock available that replaces the standard paddle latches.  It not only has a key pad, but the latch and the deadbolt also have keys just in case.  It sells for $225.00, but is an easy installation.

I am glad a picture was posted,  I was hopping to be able to replace the exisitng knob but it looks like a new hole will bee to be drilled for this combination lock.

I have these locks put on every trailer I get!. I have them put on the LQ door, the walk thru door, and the back tack door. I hate keeping up with keys. We even have them on our shop & barn tack room!. They are easy to program to any combo you want. They are also easy to change the combo if desired. Never had a single one of them fail. And I like having a trailer no one else that has one just like it can get into mine since alot of trailers are keyed a like. They are easy to put on. My non mechanic hubby can do it. There are two types. One for the "built" doors and the other for the prefab doors like whats on my 5th wheel. Best prices can be found at gokeyless.com.

Note: most can be changed from left to right. Read the directions. Camping World put 2 of mine on upside down and they were a pain in the a$$! I had to deal with those upside down locks for 5 years!

Sorry. Pic is too large & I don't have the time to mess with changing it right now.
