I've tried my local dealer and Exiss directly without luck. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement hinge for a drop down window (with aluminum face guard) for a 2003 Exiss 3 horse?

Try ASAP Trailer service and ask for David Stein. David Keeps a lot of older pieces in inventory and sure may be able to help you. His number is 281-351-7855 and he is in Tomball, TX.

Sorry to bring back this old thread, but I stumbled across it while trying to find a replacement hinge for my 2001 Exiss 3 horse. Luckily my hinge was not broken too badly, but was seized up so after no luck finding a new one, I drilled small holes into the barrels just until I could see the pin, and then heated the hinge with a propane torch, and sprayed WD-40 into the holes. After a few minutes of working it back and forth it loosened right up. I did this after taking the window off so I could work on each section individually. I hope this helps some of you having the same problem I had

Apparently this is a big problem with the Exiss trailers. I had to have both the windows replaced in mine because one fell off. Fortunately, Exiss was extremely helpful and even arranged for an RV dealer to replace them for no charge. UNfortunately, this was before they were Universal, and the RV dealer is no longer in business. Our local Exiss dealer is a jerk and refused to do any kind of work on this trailer because I didn't buy it from him.
Hopefully, Universal is still as good about customer service as the old Exiss was and will help you out.

Have a 2001 Event, sits outdoors, never any hinge issues, but I do keep them lubricated, same on the cattle trailer and other trailers with moving hinged parts.... I think it must help a good deal...

Ours seized on our Kiefer last year all at once and it has been stored out of the weather. I could not find replacement hinges anywhere and I also drilled holes and lubricated and pulled the pens and then replaced them. From now on i will lubricate every now and then.

An excellent lubricant for hinges and locks is automotive ATF (automotive transmission fluid) Save an old syringe from the latest round of vaccinations, fill it with the oil and inject it around the pins and gaps. Wipe up any excess, especially when using it on a painted surface.
Spray oils such as WD40 are short lived when subjected to any kind of weather.

Used PB blaster to get it worked loose and then as gard said with the ATF and needle. the reason it frose up was the pin connecting the hinge was metal rubbing against the Aluminium hinge and it had corroded together.

ASAP Trailers no longer has any of the hinges available. They were very nice but had no suggestions. The company that made the windows for Exiss is no longer in business. Robin at Exiss said to try Bill @ Lazy H Trailers, phone is 716 983-6097. He makes them in stainless steel. I am going to order one and will report back on it. Jim

We just got two of the stainless hinges for a 2002 Exiss, that had "froze up' window hinges. PM me if you need the information from our service manager, on where he got them at.

I've been trying to find replacement hinges. So far, without success. However, there seems to be a site where they're developing solutions: horsetrailerdropdown.com
