I can't decide if I should purchase a 04 CM or a new Xpress. Both are aluminum and about the same price. CM is a bit bigger. I have also considered a small Platinum that is a bit more expensive with fewer options. I have never bought an LQ and don't want to make a mistake. The CM and Platinum have room for an onboard generator, Xpress no. The Xpress looks really nice and I like that it is new. It is actually Keifer built and just sold by Xpress....just worried that they are not well known enough. Any thoughts???

I almost bought an Express but when I looked in the horse area I was shocked with the sloppy welding. It was terrible. There were sharp edges everywhere, even where my horse's head would be. If it were me, I would go with the CM. Good luck!

We owned a Platinum LQ,2003 10'sw with an Outlaw conversion package. It was a beaut of a trailer, well built.Pulled very well.
We traded it because: we made a major mistake when shopping.Had never looked at LQ's before.Unlike when buying a car,and test driving it,we failed to actually climb up into the GN bunk and see how it would sleep. The trailer was only 7' tall, and when they dropped the ceiling to install the ducted air,and then the mattress was put in the GN,you wound up being only about 6" from the ceiling when you were lying down or trying to get in the bed. And,the nose was tapered, and making the bed up was a nightmare. It was not wide enough, either.
Be sure to look at the difference between a 7'tall and a 7'6" tall. Most people would probably know this,as you may.But we didn't,and we wound up trading our beautiful Platinum for a new Exiss. Also look at the difference in a 7'6" wide trailer vs a 8' wide. You may just see the difference right away is worth it.

If you need room in the bunk area, you may want to look at a Silverlite. They have the gooseneck roof area raised maybe a foot higher than the rest of the trailer. Looks like you could crawl around on your hands and knees, maybe sit up even! Don't know any specifications, just seen the pictures of them.

The Xpress is not Kiefer Built. Express specs out their trailers and has them built by anyone, but generally Charmac or Kiefer. But it is very, very different than a Kiefer Built......

ALL THE 2007 XPRESS ARE KIEFER BUILT TRAILERS,7' AND 8' WIDE.THE 8' WIDE TRAILERS ARE 7'6" TALL SO YOU WILL HAVE PLENTY OF HEAD ROOM IN THE OVERHEAD BUNK AREA

I ended up with a New Bison instead of a New Xpress. Cost was very similar and I really do think the Bison is of better quality. I have spent time on the ground, under, over and through both of these trailers.

Hi Horsemom3
I have an 04 Kiefer 3H GN LQ. I have had many many troubles and want a new trailer. I am looking at an 07 Cimarron with a SPORT STAR CUSTOM INTERIOR. It is the basic Cimarron, 8 wide with an 8' SW. How many times have you used your Cimarron? What did you own before?
