Did a weekend campout on my own last weekend. Until I get pics up of it, gosh, I've got tons of rides I haven't been able to put up. Been doing as the Aussies say "a walkabout" around the sierras every weekend! Anyways...............here is a short clip of the terrains and one of the ridges I climbed to get to this view around the sierras. This was up on Hwy 108 out of Crabtree to Cooper Meadow did a cross country loop up a cow trail that would make deer cry with fear and to the top of the ridge to circle around it back down into Whitesides Meadow.......

And now for..................A view from the top of the sierras.......................

I was wondering what happened to ya! Cool, was it a lesuire trip, or did ya bring Rose? I was telling all in my "Look what we came home to after our campout" post about meeting you and how we enjoyed having yard bird with ya and sharing chit chat, and how can you forget Mr. Cody of course! Him and the puppy! How was the Jenkins trail after that fire? Give me an update. I'm gonna go back prob. end of Aug. or Sept. after all have gone home for the summer to ride my long loop I was talking about. Disaster to Paradise Valley up to the PCT and then down Boulder creek to the lake and out Iceberg...............

WOW, fantastic video. I really felt like I was there. You are a brave woman to go and camp by yourself. How long did it take you to get back to camp? Totally different terrain than Oklahoma.

The whole trip was 25.1 miles. I left at 7:30a.m. and got back to camp at 5:30p.m. took a 45 min. lunch break, so it was quite the adventure. My common ride when I go camp is anywhere from 18-27miles round trip. Day rides are usually 16-18 miles. Enough time to get back down the hill home......

Making me dizzy Hell!!!! Making me jealous is more like it!!

The next time you get a wild hair to go on a trail ride like this (by YOURSELF I noticed) you let me know... I'll come bring up the rear! (To the best of our little flatlander's ability!)
