Can't afford a new 1 ton (not sure I even want one of the new 2007s anyway). So I could use some input as to the best way (cost, manf.,installation, etc) to increase the carrying capacity. The bed sits lower than I like when the LQ is hooked up. I am not exceeding any weight limits, just want to make it better. Air bags, springs, or any other ideas? Thanks in advance!

Had similiar situation with my 06 F250 CC PSD and Exiss 3 Horse LQ trailer. Truck would sit just under level when hooked up with all the stuff loaded in trailer and back of truck. Added a set of Firestone Ride-Rite Air Bags for approx $500 and they work great. Hookup the trailer and then add air to level truck. Usually only need 25 to 30 psi in bags, but maximum air is 100 psi. When not towing trailer, let air pressure back down to 5 psi.

Check out Supersprings on Mr. Truck's webiste. They are easy and quick to install, do the job very well, would buy again.  2005 GMC 2500HD

I ordered my firestone ride-rite airbags from a summit racing web site cost was around 230 $ very easy to install and they are designed not to get in the way of your gooseneck hitch , my wife loved them we run about 35psi pulling our L/Q, they made a big difference.took me around 2 hours to install.

We are using a set of the Firestone's on our '02 F-250 for the same reason.  I ordered ours through Truckspring.com  They were about $250 with free shipping, a few hours of instalation and there ya go, no more squat!  I like our just fine and have no complaints, I'd recommend them.  The only problem that I had was that the gap between the stack of "regular" leaf springs and the overload spring made it so that the air-bag base had to mount under the overload spring alone and not under the whole stack, but that is no big deal, it would have been easier/quicker instalation however.  Talk to y'all later...

I put a set of "Super Springs" on my 3/4 ton.  It then set level with the 8w 12ft SW Lq on it.  Too bad you aren't closer to me, I'd sell them to you since I bought a 1 ton.

I have Timbrins on my 3/4 T. I think they're every bit as good as air bags and simpler.
