Do any of you know anything about Bunkhouse Conversion of Alabama. I just got a new trailer and am looking for a conversion company that will do a good job for me.

JAG Conversions in OKC, absolutely the nicest layouts I have ever seen.  They really can work wonders and stay within a budget.  I sent Texas Butch there and he got one, which he loves!

They are my top choice for my next trailer.

They do a lot of work for a lot of folks & have a lot of satisfied customers. You can almost always find one of the owners in the office, if not out on the plant floor. Go visit, you'll be impressed.

Denny Shaffer from Bunkhouse is wonderful to work with and they make great conversions!  I am having them do one for me soon (trailer is being made) and Denny has been very patient and helpful.  I also have a friend with one of their conversions and it is just as good as Outlaw.  If you talk to Denny, tell him Zita says hi!

Bunkhouse is one of the best conversion companies out there. Yes there are other good companies too that others have injected but you asked about Bunkhouse. I noticed you are in AL so it would likely be even more helpful for you to give them a try. I have never sent them a trailer I have already purchased and had at home as an individual though but I'm sure you could work something out. Usually you get the trailer custom built for a conversion companies package setup but I know some do it the other way around. Afterall conversion compainies are truely custom.

I ended up using them on my current trailer and have been more than happy. I used a rather low end company before and had terrible problems other than the quality of parts and wood being poor. That certainly wasn't a problem w/ bunkhouse though, everything is perfect. I just wish I had spent the little bit of extra money and rope edge. Another reason that I liked bunkhouse is attention to detail and the fact that they put the holding tanks up there flush with the bottom of the trailer, it's hard to believe how many conversion companies leave their plumbing hanging down 3-4 inches or more. To me this was the deal breaker on a lot of conversions, it's a horse trailer and it will go off the black top at a lot of show facilities, not to mention my own driveway.

I called Bunkhouse, they have a Denny and a Danny. With one would be the easiest to work with... I don't know either.

I don't know Danny.  I am working with Denny, who is a real hoot!  All I can say is that he ALWAYS returns phone calls promptly, nothing is a bother for him, and he will do ANYTHING that you ask (within reason!).  The only problem I ever had was with my lack of a southern accent.  Once I called and asked for Denny and the girl thought I said Danny.  Danny called me back and he had no clue of who I was!  If you do call Deeny, when he answers the phone, just ask him, "time and temperature?" and see what he does!
