We have found a small problem in our new to us trailer.  When the jack-knife sofa is open we can not open the door to the bathroom.  This will only be a problem a few times a year when our grandchildren camp with us,but still an issue. The door swings out into  the living space, has anyone experience this and were you able to come up with a solution?  Has anyone used a accordion style door?

Thanks

had an accordian style door on one trailer, it worked just fine.  also like (for the reason you asked the question) the pocket doors.   just saw a trailer with a sliding door that was like a pocket door but without the extra wall,  thought it was quite nifty.

Could the single panel door be converted to a bifold?

I like the sliding doors for the bathroom doors. They are out of the way and easy to secure open or closed. I would think it would be pretty hard to add one after the trailer is already built.

How about a temporary "door" made with a shower curtain tension rod and a sheet or something to provide a visual barrier just when you have company.

I am pretty sure the slider door would not be possible, although maybe the bi-fold door would.

I kinda like Sheryl's suggestion, take the door out and then use a tension rod with a curtain....

We may have to go with the curtain idea on the weekends when we have company. Husband said it would be easy enough to remove door on those weekends.  I just would of liked a more permenant soloution. I was hoping he could maybe flip the door so it would hinge to go into the bathroom that would solve the problem He says the frame work makes it impossible???  So for now......
