Ours is a weekend package. It has a stove, fridge, air and heat, hot water and a cowboy shower in the 3rd. stall. I have a pota pottie. We love it. Not inside much anyway just to cook and sleep. Mostly around the campfire. Oh I'm ready to get out there and camp, come on warm weather.

For me what would determine weekend pkg or LQ would be space (ie: short wall) and $$$. Also, I'd think about whether using it for days or weeks at a time.

I agree with Millicat. A weekend package is a Partial camper designed for overnight or weekend camping. Where as a LQ is a complete camper designed to be comfortable for several days or week long use. depending on what make of trailer, a weekend my lack a bathroom or a kitchen. It basically contains a place to sleep and change clothes.
Mine has a bathroom but no kitchen. I keep a cooler in the back of the truck or in the mid tack. Microwave in the trailer and a gas grill out under the awning.

We have had a couple of nice weekenders and recently got a huge LQ... I love it,BUT.. I miss the convenience and manueverability of the shorter trailer...luckily we have a 2-hrs BP with a big drsg rm...

For ME "LQ" implies at least a 60ft boat, or a decent sized suite in a Hotel/Motel. Well, maybe a 26ft + travel trailer.
I wouldn't want to spend more than a week-end in anything less, so I guess the criteria is personal (-:

The definition of a weekender depends upon who you are talking to. We sell 6' short wall units with shower and separate toilet, complete kitchen and amenities, but a bench with removable table in place of a dinette or couch. Space is the issue. Some people call these weekenders, but in reality they include everything that any LQ has but not as much space. So, when someone talks about a weekender, they can mean anything from just a dressing room that is lined and insulated to a full blown LQ.

Reg! I didn't think you were such high maintainence! I love my LQ! I show so I am usually in it for at leat 4 days at a time, sometimes 2 weeks, and it is extrmely comfy. I even have a remote!!

I'd just be happy with power. I did just get a generator, but I had to let hubby buy a 33ft 5th wheel camper to get it. And I don't have to do a thing to my hitch, they have theses neat little adapters that bolt to the 5th wheel to change it to a gooseneck hitch. Of course the REAL reason I let him get the camper is so I can get a new truck. I've been tell him for 3 yrs that I need a new truck for my trailer but noooooo it's good enough. He picks up the camper today (with my 1/2 ton) and I bet by the time he gets it home I'll be allowed to start looking at bigger trucks.
