It depends on what type of hitch you are wanting the B&W Turnover Ball, which in my opinion is the best way to go, will run you 500.00 - 600.00 depending on what the dealer charges for labor.

If you can get the ball, you might want to check with a local welding shop. They might be more reasonable. We used to do them but hubby quit because of the liability. Call local trailer places to get estimates. Don't know how much price difference but it would not hurt to check.

You will be $400 to $500 labor and parts.

Get the turn over ball, The extra $100 is worth it.

If you have a set of wrenches, an electric drill and a two pound hammer, cheapest way to go is do it yourself. I put a B&W in my truck for $330. $15 of that was for a 4 inch hole saw.

If you do it yourself MEASURE and REMEASURE BEFORE you cut that hole in your truck bed...

The hardest part of installing my B&W hitch was that humungus 4 inch hole saw going into a truck bed that had less than 50 miles on the odometer.  I drilled the pilot hole and used two different tape measures to confirm the location of the hole.

We don't feel comfortable doing it ourseleves! If we bought the part and then took it to a place will they still put it on and just charge labor?

I would check with the installer before you buy the kit yourself as they may prefer to make a little on the hardware. Before I bought mine I got quotes starting at $500 and up for installation including hardware.
