We have a new 4 star living Quarters trailer and we have  a 2005 diesel ford truck.   We have Hydrallic brakes on the new trailer and they don';t match our Ford.   We did what 4 star told us to do , we put a carlyle brake adapter that is suppose to give the signal to our brake controller so that they can work, but nothing is working we still have no brakes can someone help

Thanks

I went thru the same problem with my Freightliner brake box not being compatible with my elec over hydraulic brakes on my 4 Star LQ trailer.  The trailer service guy took the prodigy controller out and put in a redline digital. He told me if I bought a new 1 ton with a integrated brake box built in, that it has too be totally disabled and reswitched to a different circuit.

HEllo,  Carlyle reccomends that you put in a HBA Cam adapter module and that the Ford Podigy will then idnetify and work with the trailer. Have you done any of this?

I'm reviewing a 2008 Ford F250 with the Tow Command that has the factory brake controller. We added Kodiak disk brakes and Actibrake actuator to my Hart tour trailer, and even though Ford says their controler doesn't work with hydraulic trailer brakes, it's working fine. I have the latest Actibrake actuator which converts electric signal to hydraulic pressure. The pump is in the resevoir. Come my Western States Horse Expo and see it.

It is not clear from your post who (trailer dealer, truck dealer, you) did what.
The Carlisle pump on my 4-Star is happy enough with a standard Tekonsha brake controller (the model below the Prodigy because pump motors get weird about the pulsing that the Prodigy puts out every so often for a continuity check). Carlisle understands the regular little blue wire (-:
Be sure that the little blue wire's function is followed all the way through.

Perhaps that optional/integrated Ferd brake controller - isn't ?

If you can't get it figured out you can always go with a Brakesmart controller. I will do both no problem.....Kind of pricey though. You should be able to buy an adaptor to help out.

It needs to be figured out, regardless of whether or not the O/P wants to use a BrakeSmart.
Wrong wires to wrong places will confuse whatever controller they decide to use, at least get it FUNCTIONAL by wiring it correctly, then maybe consider a different controller.
Whichever "it" needs to be wired to match the other - truck or trailer, the blue wire's function is what needs to be followed.

I have electric over hydraulic and am purchasing a 2008 with the tow command. Has anyone figured out how to make this work yet?

A few posts above I said I used a 2008 F250 with Tow Command on a Acti-brake actuator with Kodiak hydraulic disc brakes whick are electric over hydraulic. It worked fine. I was on the phone with a Ford PR manager from Detroit today talking about how the new hydraulic actuator will work with the Ford trailer brake system. They need to update their broshures.

Sure,
Pick a standard, any standard.
Ensure that the truck and trailer BOTH adhere to the SAME standard.
Whats to "figure out" ?
