I am needing new clearance lights and I have narrowed it down to two options. I do not know much about lights but these are the right size and they seem bright. Which one would be best for my trailer. I have a 10 ft 2 horse straight load.

Most trailer manufacturers put clearance lights as amber (yellow) on the front and along the sides but the final side light and rear lights are red. Then I'd get whatever you like the best and you might order an extra of each color. By the time things break you won't find parts anymore...my seals were always the first to go. However you will find that the LEDs are superior in both being seen from a distance and longevity of life.

But which of the lights would be the best?
Buy from a fixed site like etrailer.com where you can return something if necessary or get followup support...ebay is fine if you know exactly what you want and have no expectation of returning anything...:(

The second option has a metal base instead of plastic, has a weather seal between the base and lens and is advertised as weather proof, and has more diodes per lamp than the first. I would say the second choice would give you a longer lasting and brighter installation.

I found both of those lights on etrailer.com they are just cheaper going through ebay. Also I didnt know if the diodes made a difference until I saw the videos of the lights on etrailer and the second ones are about 50x brighter than the first.

After having installed a bunch of different types of lights, i much prefer the kind where you screw through the cover rather than have the cover snap on over the top like you showed. like this onehttp://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Lights/Optronics/MCL49AB.html
