The only one I have been up to close and personal belongs to some friends, has a Whinny Cargo conversion, and it is outstanding.  they have had it for quite a while now, and are still very pleased and happy with it...They have some dang crooked hilly roads where they live and it has held up beautifully.

I am not an expert.

Some differnces may be, that Dream Coach used an interlocking plank floor, on 3" centers vs. the 4-Star with a sheet of aluminum over crossmembers on 12"  centers.

Dream Coach welded the hinges- 4-Star has used rivets for several years.

Dream Coach offered Rumber flooring- solid rubber flooring, warranteed by an independent manufacturer for 20 yrs. 4-Star offers WERM, with mixed reviews.

Dream Coach was alive and well at the Dixie Nationals in Jackson, MS mid Feb. It was business as usual. In fact, they had the nicest LQ trailer of the show this year. It sure didn't look like to me that they were struggling anymore than the other leading brands. Their booth always seemed to have people in it.

I don't know where you got your information, but Dream Coach is still in business. The only change was ownership, but they have continued to build a very good quality trailer. Under the new ownership they are making changes for the better all along. We have also never had a warranty problem with this company, they have always taken care of what few warranty issues we have had in an extremely timely manner. As a Dream Coach dealer, we could not be happier with their product.

When trailer shopping for a day trailer I found that the upper end dream coach trailers were much better in quality than the lower end. So when comparing trailer brands take into the consideration the model of dream coach that you wanting to compare with.

One of the features of the Dream Coach that did not suite me was the rear doors. You had to open the horse compartment door to open the rear tack since the rears doors overlap each other. This could be become a pain in windy weather where you are trying to open and hold one door while opening the rear tack.... yes you could latch the horse door and then walk around and open the tack, but that seems like an awful lot of work repeatedly.

However, the rumbar flooring is awesome in the Dream Coach.
