OK, so we finally got a bigger trailer. 1988 Trail-et five horse Falcon SST with the "brushed" aluminum skin and urethane color stripes. Trailer is in fantastic shape, as the previous owner took really good care of it. BUT, she had her barn name painted on the sides.... big lettering. So, the lettering comes off easily enough - but there's some sort of clear coat on that skin that ALSO comes off, and we need to know if anybody here has a clue as to what is compatible with it? Trail-et has been very helpful with all other questions, but they can't tell me what the coating was - just that their ad literature from that year mentions aircraft type urethane coatings. We do have the equipment to reshoot the area, and it's a space that's easily masked off. Also - I want to add conspicuity tape to the sides and rear (ramp). Should I do anything besides wash it to prep the skin before putting this stuff (3M product) on the trailer? Thanks in advance,Kate
