The 12v system only works when plugged in to 120v. If you turn off main battery switch, all electric drops out. Replaced battery and converter. Help please and thank you!

Trailer belongs to a friend. They replaced the converter and battery. Yes, I do have a volt meter. I can't find any reason for this to happen. When you turn off main battery switch 12v and 120v drops out. The electric jack works fine.

Sounds like the battery switch is disconnecting the battery from the trailer system. That's how it's supposed to work. The trailer jack still works because its power does not go through the switch.
