I know that this is a trailer forum but I had to let folks know just how sick some people are. Someone shot and killed my neighbors horse Saturday. All the other horses bolted and ran through the gate down the road about a 1/2 mile turned around and ran a mile the other way where they were caught. The horse that was shot was shot with a small caliber gun through one rear leg and through the neck. The neck shot went all the way through. You could see that the horse struggled a lot and looked as if he basically drowned in his blood, the ground was soaked.

That is really sad. The kind of person that would do this is the person that will abuse/kill people as well, so I hope that the police catch him. Makes even a reasonable person want to bring back hanging....

Before we moved from NY to PA, a horse owner not too far from us, had her horse shot about one hundred feet from her barn, in a fenced paddock. It was the last day of hunting season, and the frustrated hunter who had no luck with deer, saw the horse as his revenge. Some people are sick

No clue who did this. And sad to say that this is not a high priority on the police's agenda with the crime around here. Ya know, it's bad enough that someone shot and killed him, but to shoot him with a small caliber gun to watch him suffer is really sick. I wonder if it was kids out squirrel hunting.

have the humane society been told of this shooting.? that way if someone is arrested they will have proof and papers filed for trial some poeple are just sick and should be put down

This person(s) will get caught. I don't know why but I am sure of it. When they try this again someone might have their dogs barking and shoot them. I would call that justified. I am sorry for the loss of a horse and all the trouble that was caused.

The humane society was not contacted just the police. The investigators came out twice to make reports. They looked around the pasture to see if they could tell where the shooter was and where the horse was when it was shot but that is all. All the horses in the back pasture have been moved to the front pasture.
This happened just north of Conyers GA. Still considered Conyers but between the city of Conyers and Loganville.

This was a malicious attack on this horse. If it was only shot one time I could say it was an accident but the horse was shot twice. The back pasture is no where near a road so who ever shot him had to have went through the woods to get to the pasture. The police said that maybe someone shot from the highway but you can not see the highway from the pasture. Only one of the shots was heard but no one thought anything about it, we hear gun shots all the time because of the area that we are in every one hunts and every one shoots targets. There is a turkey shooting range just up the road from us.

There were shootings like this where we used to live and it was always show animals. It turns out that it was the family of a kid competing in 4-H/FFA and they were shooting the animals that they thought would beat theirs. This happened for 4 or 5 years before they were caught.

are these people practices for something bigger( people shouting??) the police should take it series the humane society should be told also just in case that the police could not get them on anything else
