Wow, I had no idea this occurred so much. I also had a bad fall and could not ride for 6 months. I felt the same emotions ya'll described and to this day have some apprehension every time I go to mount. I am currently riding a 2 yo that has went down with me 3 times. Thinking about selling. But you can regain a lot of confidence by going slowly just like everyone has said. My accident was 10 years ago and I am riding today with much more respect and caution. Remember "There is nothing to fear but fear itself".
