Does anyone have any experience with a hay rack water tank?  I am thing of 40 gallone - which would be about 400 pounds filled.  We often camp for several days sometimes where these is no water or not any good water especially in late summer.  Any thoughts or suggestions?

Cheers

John

No experience of it, just the thoughts that 400 lbs is a lot for your roof to carry and it is a lot of weight very high up (think, "TIPPY").

There is no problem with hay rack water tanks, I have two 35 gallon tanks on my hay rack and have never had a problem. It is not too much weight, as the hay rack is bolted to the frame and not the roof. As far as top heavy, my 4000 pounds of horse compensate for 600 pounds of water

My trailer came with a 35 gals water tank in the hay rack from the factory. It seems to ride just fine.

35 gals seems to disappear real quick with 3 horses
