We are putting in our own living quarters. Is it necessary to vent a refrigerator that is electric-only? It is a compact refrigerator that we bought at Walmart.

Also, if we put a watertank in the rear tack, where does the plumbing tubing go? Does it take a special pump to pump water that far??

If the refrigerator is 100% electrical then you do not need to vent it.

First, are you putting a shower in? If so you'll need at least a 30 gallon fresh water tank, and that will take up you rear tack.

We have a 30 gal tank under the 'boot box'.  The pump fits nicely (and we have an outside spigot) and there is still room left for a water heater.

I have a 25 gal in my tack compartment but I use it strictly for water for the horses. http://community.webshots.com/photo/249894336/268781036sGWDNG

Read the installation instruction on the refridgerator.  You need to allow space for an exchange of air.

I added my tank under the boot box and the pump is right along side.  This keeps the weight low and pipes short.  I can access all of my plumbing by opening the cabinet doors or the top of the boot box.
