Currently have a 2017 Ram 2500 Big Horn, 6.7L diesel Curb weight 6,758, Gross Vehicle Weight 9,000, Max Payload 2,242, Max Tow Capacity according to JD power is 11,080 but I think for trailers isn't it a calculation with the numbers above? Thinking of buying a small LQ 2 or 3 horse. Most trips would be with one horse. Need to figure out if my truck will work or would I need a dually. Thank you.

You might want to double check your truck specs ... any of the 2017 Ram 2500's with a 6.7L diesel that I have seen in the charts have a GVWR of 9900 or 10,000 lb.
To be sure, check the tag on your driver side door sill to confirm that actual GVWR of your truck.
Do you have the regular cab, crew cab or mega cab? 6'4" box or 8' box? 4x2 or 4x4? Manual or automatic transmission? All of these will affect your actual load rating.
Are you looking to buy a bumper pull LQ or a gooseneck LQ?
