Hi - I have a 2017 Lakota C27.  Its a 2 horse slant with step-up, and its a very high step.   I have trouble with horses unloading.   They all absolutely dislike the high step down.   I am thinking of having a ramp installed by the dealer.   I've never heard of a ramp being installed on a step-up.   Would this make my trailer hideous and hard to use?  Do you think my resale will plummet?   I love the trailer in every other way, so I don't want to sell it.

Thanks

Do it. A ramp behind full height doors is my favorite configuration. A Lakota dealer can get the ramp from the manufacturer, built to fit your trailer, and delivered inside a new trailer, saving freight. It is not a difficult installation.

We put a ramp on every trailer. Just make sure you get a reputable trailer place to install it. Loading the springs properly is essential for a easy to use ramp. My Merhow has a one finger lift on a full ramp. We love it!

We had a Lakota LQ trailer that a Lakota dealer put a Sundowner ramp on, stating he preffered the Sundowner ramp. It was easy to use. He sold bought makes.

Thank you all for the feedback!   The picture was very helpful!    I just made an appointment at the Lakota dealer to get it installed.

I have a custom half-ramp on my LQ trailer - so it is only on the unloading side, and doesn't block my tack door. Love it! I also had a ramp installed on my cheap two horse slant trailer, and it doesn't look as good as the LQ ramp, but it works well. I won't have a trailer without a ramp..............

Everytime Is see these half ramps I think of the old Imperatore Horse Vans  rear drop down ramp for hay ...
