I am thinking about using this product on my aluminum trailer roof.  Any experience, comments, thoughts?

I did this to my trailer about three years ago and liked it. Did it keep the trailer miraculously cooler? No. Would I do it again? Yes. It does help cut the heat but even better was the fact that my trailer no longer drips on me when the aluminum cools. It also seems to let it cool down more quickly. And since I haven't covered it with anything else yet, it also brightened up the inside considerably. I did it in the horse compartment as well to give the horses a break from the heat. Between that and the fans, they appear to ride pretty comfortably. I am considering a second coat to give it a better coverage, thinking this might help insulate it better.

I have never used the insulating paint, so I can't directly answer your question. However, I do know that if you were to paint the exterior part of your bare aluminum roof a white colour, you would drastically reduce the interior temperatures. Painting the outside of the uninsulated area is also easier, than the inside with its involved structures.

Hey gard, I have been trying to get time to send you a question about something like this.  A few years back the Exiss we had was leaking around the seams on top and we use some sort of white roof seal or roof coating like they use for mobile homes and worked pretty well, just washed the top and brushed it on as thick as I wanted it.

My question is what do you think about this stuff?  I noticed I can buy it in white or silver from Home Depot or Lowes pretty cheap. Just thinking about doing our Sundowner this year, it is not leaking or anything just wanting to try and cool it down alittle since it is so **%&$^ HOT already.

I've had good luck with marine paint. If I had leaks I'd use an elastomeric product. I don't like "Cool Seal"
