Do any of you folks take the batteries from your LQ trailer and store them in a warm area for the winter? Our LQ trailer will only be unused for about 3 1/2 months and I was wondering if it was really worth moving them indoors. We live in PA.

The only problem of keeping a battery in the trailer during winter storage, is the potential of a discharge. If this were to happen, the battery will freeze and be ruined. The best way to ensure this won't happen, is to disconnect the wiring from the battery terminals, and install a float charger. The easiest and least expensive solution, is to store it in a non freezing environment.
The other problem previously discussed in another similar thread, is the possibility of an overcharge. Some owners leave power on their LQs all winter, trusting their converters to maintain the proper battery maintenance. Some of these power units aren't designed for maintenance, which differs from a simple charging circuit. The result will be a boiling of the fluid, the plates will warp and once again, the battery is ruined.
Batteries are expensive. Taking a few minutes to ensure their longevity is cheap insurance.
