I sold my all time favorite trailer so that I could down size. sniff, sniff. I had a 10'LQ 3H 8 wide, and now looking at a nice, but cheaper 2H LQ SL. I often only haul one horse, but at times, do haul two. What can I do with all the stuff that I use to carry in my third stall? This trailer I'm looking at is 7'6" wide w/ managers, so that should help. No hay rack.

I did pretty much the same thing last summer. Sold my loaded LQ trailer., Mangers, awning, pretty much load trailer and bought pretty much the same trailer with no LQ ( only a small DR) and no options. Went from a $40,000 to a $17,000 trailer. My daughters and I have learned how to go back to roughing it.

I started with a small LQ so I never got spoiled hauling a bunch of extra junk. But here a hear a just a couple tips that save me space in my LQ. I don't haul around any cleaning equipement beside a bunch of clean tore up T shirts for rags that can be used for anything and thrown away. I keep all the cleaning stuff at home and just clean it at the end of the weekend. Also I have one of those wall mounted soap and shower dispensers in the shower. And I just keep the extra soap and shower in my house, not in the trailer. You should be able to stuff a lot in your mangers and then put anything that can be rained on and not ruined in the bed of your truck.

I should be able to get hay and that sort of stuff in the bed of my truck. This is what most of my friends do that have the two horse trailers. This really is a nice trailer and a good buy. I also think it will have good resale if I ever need to sell it. 6' foot short wall, but they sure made good use of the space. Shower, potty, lots of hanging, small fridge, microwave, sink, generator. The LQ still has that new look to it. I think it must be newer than the trailer. Small bench to sit on, but I will have to watch TV in bed. Oh darn. :-) At some point I think I will add a hay rack and a stud wall. I won't even know it's there behind my 1-ton.
