I am looking at buying a used '97 alumiumn trailer and under the mats I found urine stains on the floor. How can I tell if it has started to corrode or will the stains eventually corrode?

If there is corrosion present, you may find a whitish powder that wipes off the floor onto your finger tip. This will come from an area that may have pitting and craters of black and whitish spots. The floor will need to be acid washed to clean all the stains, stop the corrosion, and provide a bare metal. Then it can be readily inspected and repaired if necessary, and coated if you want.

How concerned should you be? Cant answer that without seeing the floor.........but if the previous owner was too stupid/lazy to wash the floor after the horse leaked on it, I would be looking REALLY hard for any other signs of neglect.

I thought of that point also. The problem is the trailer is 7 hours from me and I'm going on pictures and what the dealer is telling me. I will try to attach a picture of the floor with the thread if possible. Thanks for the input.

From the looks of the photo, it would be difficult believing that the trailer floor has had any maintenance since new. I agree. Pass on this one. There are many more trailers available, that are in much better condition, and won't cost an arm and leg to rebuild.
