I purchased an 03 Exiss 3H with 8ft lq and I hate cranking that beast up...So I want to change the current jack to a push button one....(getting to old to be cranking up a trailer) LOL....Now my question is can I just add onto the current jack or should I replace the whole unit. Which brand would most recommend? Does anyone recommend a company to order one from...Thanks in advance

you can have one added but let me express from experience........buy the hydraulic.
you will not be sorry. the electric will work just fine but it will not hold up. yes for a while it will. its not worth the money. installed the hydraulic is few hundred more but well worth the expense. i will not even own another electric jack.
just in case you didnt get it.....buy the hydrualic

If you don't use your jack much, you can get by with electric, but if you use your jack often, it's hard to beat hydraulic. I'd say the majority of the slide outs on LQ's are hydraulic. Were as most of the sliders on RV's are electric. We know which trailers are built better. Horse trailers are tanks and RV trailers are toothpick holders.
We installed a Bigfoot hydraulic jack in our horse expo demo trailer and it goes up and down all day long demonstrating our prototype gooseneck hitch. We'll be adding Bigfoots remote control next and we're getting Air Lifts new remote control air bags for the truck next month so we can make the trailer go up and down and the truck do up and down. I love remote control, I'll get my truck bouncing like the low riders in East LA.

She was determined for sure

My trailer has dual Bulldog landing gear - connected by a crank shaft that runs through the gearboxes across the front. Single speed gearbox. five-horse Trail-Et. 23 turns to get it up to clear the flatbed is a lot of work.Is it possible to get the reduction gearbox (dual speed?) for this setup? I have searched and am only coming up with complete replacements - and the legs are welded to the frame of the trailer.....

BIG FOOT! Check them out on line. Just had one installed on my trailer a few months ago and it cost me 1600. for everything including a loop charge from the truck to the trailer because the small ga. wire that comes in the trailer harness was not sending enough power.
