It depends on where you are at and who does it. Last year I got our 19 footer for $550 installation included. It was done by a trailer dealer here in Minnesota. I have heard of some RV dealers charging up to $1000 for the same awning.

I had to go out to the trailer to look. It's a "Carefree of Colorado". We love it. Shade to sit under and few times we had rain and it kept us dry while waiting it out. We were able to cook and eat and also partake of our favorite beverages without worrying about sitting inside. Wouldn't have another trailer without an awning.

I just replaced my 14' awning on my RV. A few weeks ago...while camping...high..HIGH...winds ripped it off. Anywho...I had Camping World do the work...it cost me about $950.00. They are currently having a sale on patio awnings and installation. And if you join Camping World..you get an additional discount.

Camping World is a good place to get taken care of. Have had awnings on trailers since 1986, and hope to always have em on any trailer we plan to camp out with period. Money well spent. With rollers on the tops of doors, awning deflappers and a serious awning tie-down, we have have very good luck with ours. Camping World has a lot of experience and can do the job correctly the first time. Worth talking to about it.

Thanks for the replies! I'm not all that close to a camping world. I've been given a price of app $1000 by the local trailer dealer. I'll check around some more before I commit to that!

We got quotes around $950 for a 14' installed. We ended up just buying an awning for $390 at a surplus store and installing it ourselves. Saved a ton of money that way.

The awning on our trailer could use new canvas. Arms seem to work just fine, but we can't seem to find any place that will sell just the canvas. They want to sell us a whole new awning (@ ~$1K). This was at both trailer places we looked at. Being close to Chicago there are a ton of RV dealers, I'll have to check into them. I have also considered calling Merhow, they are only a few hours away and could have a new factory installed awning.
