I don't think it is a scam. The description is very accurate and if you look at the outside pictures, you will see a cattle chute in the shed behind the trailer. My guess it is a typo and hee did miss a couple of zeros.

The scammers don't stop at trailers. The company I work for has items for sale on our website and we had some truck accessories on our site and we received an email for a request for this accessory and the scammer wanted them sent to Norway. Very broken english. I played along since I was suspicious based on his email This is what it said. "Thank you for the email .I will like bumper for Dodge 3500series truck year 2003 that cost for $1571.00 and also i will like 4pcs of them and also i need you to email me back with total cost of them also with their availabilities as well.Thank you and waiting " He emailed again with his "shipping broker" information which was supposedly called Junction Springs International and they had a hotmail email address. Another red flag for me. A reputable shipping company would have their own email domain. Couldn't verify the address he supplied for shipment to Norway or name of the shipping broker, so, anyhoo, to make a long story short, I told him he would have to make all shipping arrangements himself and have the product picked up at our facility and that he would have to put a 50% deposit down before we would start his order and did he want to put it on his Visa or MasterCard. Needless to say, I didn't hear back.

My bad. I didn't pay enough attention to the year (2003) and was caught off guard by the bright aluminum finish. Probably is missing the first digit. or maybe

SD caught alot of folks off guard with the polished sides, they were able to sell a ton of Steel Framed trailers by dressing them up a little and putting that pretty orange sticker on the nose.

I've noticed a lot of trailer ads being removed on our local Craigslist lately. They seem to always be Sundowner or Featherlite and several have the price in the heading, which is still there once the ad is falgged when you click on it. Always a crazy low price.

I e-mailed him and asked what the correct price was because I just couldn't believe that it was $3750 and this is what I got back this morning. The english is actually really good.
Hello,
This 2003 Sundowner 3 horse trailer , looks excellent. This trailer has been extremely well maintained with a full service history.
You will not have any problems with registration since it's still registered in GA. I am the second owner of this trailer , I bought it when i was serving in Fort McPherson, slightly used in 100% working and looking conditions with a clear title free of encumbrances and liens.
I have dropped my price to $3750 (purchase price) This way, both parties will avoid wasting the other person's time with negotiations. I want to take the opportunity to assure you that this deal is 100% legitimate. Which means that you will have a 15 days inspection period before buying the vehicle. The financial part of this deal will be managed by the eBay's buyer protection program. If you want to complete the purchase please send me your : Full Name and Shipping Address and I will notify eBay that you are selected as my buyer and they will contact you to explain the entire procedure.
This is an urgent sale and it will be my top priority since I need to sell it before Mar 15th. when i will be deployed in Iraq with my platoon replacing the troops scheduled to come home by the beginning of the year.
Please email me ASAP if you want to move forward and let me know if you need anything else.

I inquired about this trailer on HorseClicks - http://www.horseclicks.com/trailers/cm5d8h/ - and got the EXACT same response from them (well, the price was slightly different). Gggrrrr.
