I have a 3 way safety light plugged into a 120 outlet in the LQ. I hooked up the generator for a test run today, and the lights indicated HOT/NEU REVERSE. Do you think this is LQ wiring mistake or a generator issue?When I plug into shore power, 110, 15 amp, the lights read correct. I haven't yet plugged into shore power 30 amp service yet.Thanks and Happy Easter!

I'm running two Honda eu2000i linked together (with the Honda connector) with the 30amp trailer plug. I tried reversing the connector cables on the generators. I also tried running one generator only with the 120v 15 amp plug adapter from the LQ, -- same warning light.

See, I don't know anything about that deal of tying two 2000's together. You get 4000 watts but still only 20 amps. Who wired up your 30 amp plug? Are the wires in the correct place inside your 30 amp plug? Are you using any type of home made adapters? Is the generator grounded, like with a ground wire, grounded to earth, into the soil? Is the generator grounded to the trailer? I'm no electrician, just trying to give you some clues to look for the problem. Look around on this site, you might stumble upon something....

Have same set up as you, two Honda gens hooked together and have not had any problems. You do get 4000 watts peak and 33 amps. Does everything work correctly when you are connected to shore power? I would look at you 30 amp plug.

Read your owners manual for the generator and make sure that it is normal for the two to be switched on the tester. There is a few generators that the testers do not work properly with . This is normal and it shouldent be a problem it is usually just the way the tester reads the power from the gen.

I am not certain this is the grounded that is being discussed, but I believe the truck is setting on it's tires, thus insulated from being grounded, at least not the same as having a rod driven into the dirt and grounded that way...
