I use the ones from Chick's. They provide plenty of room for lunch and other necessities. The water bottle holders are also a handy place for trail maps, extra lead ropes, etc. I like the way they fit over the cantle and have fleece on the underside. Chick's has a great price. I paid about $65 for the first set I bought.

I have a Snug Pax, and though it fits lots of stuff, I find I prefer a fanny pack and a pommel bag for the same amount of space. I'm always needing gear while I ride and it's a pain to twist around and get my stuff out from behind me. However kids are much more flexible, so maybe that's not a problem for your daughter. The price sure is good! I paid lots more for mine. One other thing to look at - Will it fit her saddle? Are there adjustments? I'm thinking a kid's saddle will be lots smaller and you don't want the bag to bounce around and spook her horse.

Stowaway from Sportack.com sells a slim english pack. It is less bulky and no bottle holder. I love the stowaway brand. I've used them for about 10 years and everything still works on it... zippers, velcro etc. The new ones attach with a buckle loop strap system instead of velcro on the straps.

I have the Stowaway packs and I love them. I have just about all of them but my favorite is the front pack with the water bottle holders. It takes a bit to get used to because it is bulkier and it can bounce a bit more so, I just tie it to my breastcollar and it solves the problem. If you don't need the bottle holders the front pack without them is great. I have the cantle bag with the water bottle holders but I got tired of reaching around for my drink. My husband likes that one so that's a plus. The other one I like is the delux western pack. Both packs fit my English style and my Bob Marshall saddles just fine.

Ditto on the ppmmel packs - much easier to reach stuff (camera, water, snacks, lipblock, sunscreen, etc) If I need to carry more stuff I put a cantle bag on the back to hold lunch, boots, etc)
