Is there a type of bag that will hold a couple of small square bales of hay completely covered like a gym bag? We keep our square bales in the the third stall but I would like to keep the hay contained in a bag. The four stall has our cowboy shower, port-a-pottie and coolers. The stud divider is in between the second and third stall keep the shaving back with the horses. Any ideas? thanks.

Most hay bale bags will fit the "feed store" sized bales fine, can't seem to find one to fit ours, we buy private from the field. Our bales our anywhere from 120-160 lbs.! Go onto any endurance website and they have hay bale bags like you're looking for or any other online camping/trail tack site......
I haven't seen one that can hold "several" bales though. You will have to buy several bags to hold individual bales.....

I usually use the big lawn and garden leaf trash bags. One good size bale will fit in it and you can use it for trash after the hay is out...I just can't see spending the extra money for a hay storage bag....JMO

I haven't seen ones big enough (maybe in a FarmTek catalog?) for several bales - I think mainly due to the weight. I have two bale bags that I bought (the one I really like I ordered from National Bridle) and use them on every camping trip. They are waterproof and work much better than garbage bags (in my opinion.)

I didn't think of the weight of 2 bales. I wound keep the bales in the trailer and carry them in one at time. I have gone to couple of websites and looked yesterday. I haven't seen ones with wheels yet. I did find out that one I looked at on Ebay was cheaper on a different web site. I guess I have more looking to do and comparsions to do.

You can get wheeled bale bags from several different places. Country Supply, Valley Vet, KV Vet, to name a few...I have 3 bags because we go on long trips with several horses. Two of my bags will easily hold a 100lb bale but I very rarely get bales this big. I'm not sure if they make that size bag still as it's been a few years since I purchased mine. Once you get the hay in, it is very easy to roll even the heaviest of bales. I put the bag on bottom side up then roll the bale over and zip the top up. They are very waterproof as we have carried them in the back of the truck when it rains and the hay stays dry.
I believe everything should have wheels because I usually end up having to 'schlep' it myself.
My wife's parents have three of these. With the size of the bales we normally buy around here, I would say you could fit 4 to 5 bales in the three bags.
