That's amazing, as our LQ 3h trailer is insured through State Farm, as well as all our other trailers, and ATV's etc. The LQ trailer has it's own policy, not just under some blanket farm policy. Someone needs to be more attentive to their job. Need further help I will give you a phone number...

Thanks for the info-I'll check with the agent again tomorrow-I called Progessive and was told they had a writer but I would have to insure the tow vehicle with them also.

My LQ trailer is insured through State Farm also. Had to explain to my agent exactly what that was but once we got it straight getting it covered was no big deal (what do you mean you haul horses in your RV)?
I would guess Progressive requires you to have both the tow vehicle and the trailer covered because trailer insurance is only comprehensive not collision. Any damage from an accident while in use would be under your truck's policy.

State farm does it as a recreational (RV). This takes care of it being hurt while it is not hooked up to your truck and being towed. Mine is through State Farm, no problems.

LOL, this is a funy thread.."horses in an RV"?..we had the same problem, most banks, finance companies have no conception of this, neither do insurnace companies, we had to send our finance company out to a friends house to look at their living quarters, to prove to them, yes is an RV, but like in an RV toy hauler, this one carried "horse" toys LOL. Then on to the insurance company, they were actually less difficult to deal with, all I had to do was send them pictures. Needless to say, once all said and done, we got great rates on both! Good enough that I only financed for 5 years....yyeehhhawwww, will be mine in a bout 3 1/2 years..
