OK, the awning position is just wrong on my trailer.  It is a Carefree Awning.  From looking at it, I can take out the screws at the bottom, loosen what looks like set screws at the top and just slide the thing down the gutter, then reattach the bottom.  Is this all there is to it?  I would really like to get it moved before summer and awning season.

That's it, just make sure where you are going to re-attach it that the bottom screws have something to bite into. Some aluminum skin trailers, the skin is not enough to support the awning. Also make sure you put the little set screws back in the rail or your awning will slide and roll up crooked.

Thanks.   Nope, the bottom will screw in to the bottom frame rail.  Should be solid enough.
