We are in the market for an upgrade of trailer.  We are currently looking at a Bison 3 horse with living quarters.  On some posting there have been issues with the trailer structurally (these issues were a couple years old).  Has the Bison trailer been improved?  After looking at a new 2008, I was very impressed with the cosmetics and finishing of the product, i.e. living quarters, horse compartment and outside walls.  As with anything economics are a big player and this trailer appears to be a very good buy.

20% chance of getting a good one?! LOL, Well that entire 20% must be located in eastern NC because I know several folks that have them and love them! I disagree that they haven't made any improvements in the last few years. My Bison is an '04 and it has several improvements over the earlier models. The '07's I've seen at shows this year have even more improvements over mine. Just a few new features off the top of my head are a better stud wall, door hinges that allow the doors to open all the way, enclosed propane and spare tire under the neck.  These trailers are becoming more and more popular in my area and I have yet to talk to anyone who has one and is unhappy with it. For that matter, I don't think hardly anyone has posted negative comments (who actually owns a bison) on this board in several years, since the era of the 2003's I think. Mine is steel frame and our welder friend crawled under it when I brought it home and actually commented on how well it's made.

Search this forum and you'll find that this topic has been covered many times. You'll get many opinions this way...as well as first hand accounts from many happy Bison owners. I'm sure no trailer company is perfect and I'm sure there are folks out there that have had problems with the new Bisons...but you hear complaints about every brand on this site from time to time. The Bison is a lot of trailer for the money and I'd buy another one again in a minute. Feel free to pm me if you'd like to chat. happy shopping!

So Dixie, tell us how you really feel about Bison's will ya??  You've done nothing but talk smack about them.   I've had 2 Bison's.  Good trailers for the money.  Nothing worse than a dealer talking down their "old" product. Like a husband/wife talking s--t about their ex. Makes me wonder why you sold them in the first place.  You're divorced from Bison now, so let it rest

We are on our second Bison, 3H with 10'sw and a slideout. Great trailer. First one bought in '03 and upgraded last year to a bigger one. Virtually no problems. We travel a lot, just since July we have hauled over 10,000 miles without incident.
