Well its been a long haul working on this project and its finally done. I spent 15 days at 10 to 14 hours per day by myself. I dont think I will take on another one. I walked in and out of that trailer a couple thousand times. But the hardest part is in the nose part climbing up and down and working on your knees.
I want to thank HWBar that gave me alot of good advise, Todd with his write up step by step http://todd.redwrench.com/index.htm and Jazzsales for the speciality items. Also thanks to everyone that has had imput on my previous post about this job.
I dont know how to post pictures here so I will just add a link to my webshots page so you can see all the pictures I have from start to finish.
My wife expecially likes the shower toilet combo insted of the old cowboy shower we once had. This makes out living area pretty small but we never just hang out inside the trailer we always sit outside or in the bed.

I have done most of my overnight riding down in NC (Uwharrie/Biltmore) In Virginia we usually go to James River State Park or around the neighbor's farms following the local hunt club trails. Haven't been to New River yet.

Nice job!! I especially like the storage box on the outside..Did you buy that intact and have it mounted, or did you have it completely fabricated? That might be something I could do with my bumper pull.. Looking at your pictures, it makes me wish I had a truck and could get a gooseneck to play with.. I love the color of the interior wood..

Thanks, The storage box on the outside was built out of 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" x 1/8" angle and the skin is 29 gauge aluminum with the baked enamel finish. I built the whole thing in my carport. I have connections with a fabrication shop that has a shear and a break to cut and bend the skin. I built the frame and mounted it onto the trailer then pop rivited the skin to it. I ordered the doors of of ebay for cheap. I was looking for manger doors but nobody wanted to sell me any. This storage box really has alot of room in it to store my stuff we need everytime we go. I can send you a sketch of the original design if you like.
The stain color on the wood is Honey Pine from Minwax. Its a stain and poly in one, saved alot of time on coating it.
My friends that I ride with are the ones mad, now their wifes want them to do the same to their trailer.

I would love the spec and directions on your box.. I was telling my husband about it yesterday (as he rolls his eyes!) I know a local guy who does custom welding and another guy who works with aluminum.. I'm sure if I put my mind to it I can find somebody to help me make it happen... Do you find you have more drag when pulling the trailer with the storage box? Until I relent and get a truck, I have to be careful about weight and drag when pulling. My new (to me) Hart is not what I consider heavy (2700 - 300 lbs empty) but pulls much heavier than my old strait load CM odessy.

I'll scan the sketch of the box and pm it after lunch today. As far as drag I'm sure it does affect it but I don't pay attention to that or fuel mileage. Just happen to work for a company that buys ALL my fuel.
