WOW...got to see the outside today, it sold, so it wasnt open for people to go inside, also was told that 3-4 more are being made as I type. Just the outside ( even the pictures put on here) didnt prepare you for it...

Are you talking about the one that was real dark inside and had 2 slides AND the bar in it? Plus 4 flat screens, including the one in the bath? It was inside on the left on the way to Scheider's wasn't it? I went in it the first Friday that the trade show was open. Sat. afternoon is when they closed it. I thought I heard upper $250,000 for it. Could be wrong. My trailer has more storage in it than that one had, but I guess if you buy something like that you are going to have it for show in my opinion.

Was it the red 4Star with the huge outlaw interior?? It was priced at right over 300,00.........If that sucker is sold, I just wonder what kind of horses are going to be getting into that thing!!! What do you think they bought to pull the trailer??? DOn't you just love a lottery winner!!!!

No it was across 17th Avenue, off to the east; it had 3 slideouts, oh gosh ahhhhhhh it had automatic jack levelers in front of the tires, 3 sets

Pretty but way to much trailer for the average person I would think, but at that price the average person won't be buying one. I don't really like that much stainless, they are awful to drive behind at night. Would love to see the interior. My 50 acres, house, truck and trailer and animals aren't worth what that trailer is worth!

I still want to see pictures of the inside! Anybody got a link to that? I'm not sure why so many turned green over this the first time, it's no different from compairing over the counter tack to custom made tack and saddles that run $10K. It's all relative. Hey, and what about spending $100k on a horse? No different.

I turn just as green when someone shows up with the $100,000 horse that they picked up from the trainers barn on Saturday morning, and beats me or worse, my child, on Saturday afternoon. That would be my child who is teaching his own horse, riding him everyday, and mucking his stalls. I guess I'm a sore looser.

I wouldn't worry about someone beating me because they have deep pockets. You and your child should be tickled it takes someone with that kind of money to take the win from you....just my .02cts.

HW ... consider that they had to spend $100,000 plus for that $1.50 ribbon... While you and your child have developed the skills that are priceless.

Money doesn't always mean winning...I have won on a school pony that got lots of lesson riders during the week, then went with me to the show on the weekend. This was competing against riders who spent $50k on horses that had competed at three star events with Olypmic riders. So tell your children that hard work will pay off!

Did I miss something? The thread at the site giddyupmatt posted had a guy (from Sundowner I think) that thought everyone was dissing SD's. If so, I missed that! I went back and read everything and it looked like people were just saying they couldn't afford it and it was not really practical. I don't think anyone even saw inside!! Or at least nobody on here. I don't think anyone even mentioned the name of the trailer.

They didn't have to,you can see the logo on the trailer's pictures,it is a Sundowner.My dealer was at Congress and he said that he too,saw it,and got to go inside and take a tour.I never really got the idea anybody was trashing SD's either,it just turned ugly when somebody got their feathers ruffled.(had it happen before myself)

Nobody is dissing the trailer. It is no doubt very nice. Just for that kind of money I would have one heck of a barn on 50-100 acres of land with a real nice house, my own hay field with a couple of pastures to boot. That's the point.

No one turned green over it. They just said it wasn't pratical. I wouldn't pay $10K on tack, custom or not and wouldn't even consider paying $100K on a horse. Not even if he was trained to cleaned my house!

I was privileged to see the interior pics of it but did not go in since I knew no matter how great it was, my hubby would go ballistic if I brought it home! I did, however, really look at the outside of this trailer up close and personal. I have a 2005 M2 Sportchassis and was told by the salesman that even I would need a bigger truck! The whole outside baiscally was stainless but then so are many commercial horse haulers tractor trailer rigs. What really set this trailer apart from them was the quality of the LQ. The nicest of any Sundowner to date. IMHO, This trailer was not built with the average horse family in mind. It was built for the Prevost bus kind of folks that want the high $$$ RV palace feel with the added convience of a tow vehicle to drive around while still being able to haul their horses themselves. By time they buy this trailer and the big truck to pull it with, they could still possibly save money over the cost of the Prevost bus alone since many of those buses are over the $700K price just by themselves.

This was a diss......I saw the trailer and it was out of this world.....and everyone needs to know....not all Sundowner salespeople fit in this criteria.....those ae corporate guys........cause my sales person goes to work after her chores inthe moning and I guarantee..a starch shirt is not in her closet.......I think people just became haters and got carried away.....every dealership that was represented at Congress came up with something new...below is a copy and paste from that so called slam of Sundowner.....it was kinda' mean.....people need to know and realize...rich or poor we all want something nicer...it's what keeps our world turning...without people wanting something nicer...we would all still be pulling steel stock trailers and sleeping in tents...HE.....HE....
I say the post above are saying what needs to be said, Pretty trailer, but over the top. I seem to remember that Cimmarron did one a few years ago, Bloomer does a couple a year now, so maybe Sunupper is just trying to play catchup? They will never be in the same league with Bloomer/C&C/4 Star, I don't care how many stainless trailers they build. Or how many "phoney" people out there buy one of them. Or "phoney" salesmen in Starched Shirts and Wranglers that sell them, you all know the type walking around with a perfect hat, Starched Shirt/Wranglers and the boot flavor for the month.

That post may be used as an example of one thing that was said,but if you will go back and read from the very beginning of the thread,I think you will see and agree who started it in the first place.It was the guy telling Covert Cowboy,who didn't say a thing wrong,"HEY GO SELL SOMETHING COWBOY."
That IMO is what started it.Cowboy didn't have the attitude,he was just talking about the trailer and not in a derogatory way.

Yea....your probably right........I did see that....but you know how boys will be.....sometimes....just kidding......I told my friend that sells trailers about it.....and she just said you can tell a salesperson from a horse person that just works for a Trailer dealership to pay for their hobby apart....she and I got a god laugh about it.
