does anyone know how to tell if you have 7000 or 8000 lbs axles under your trailer..is the weight stamped on them somewhere....thanks for any help

Info may be on the trailer's serial number plate/tag. 7000# axles have 9/16' studs, the 8000" axles have 5/8" studs (uses a larger hub than the 6000# and 7000# axles)and most run 17.5' wheels. At least all of what I own does. If you can get under the tailer there may very well be a tag on the axle with make, model, axle wt. rating and axle serial number.
