Ok, a lot off topic, but my puppies are 1yr old today!!  I took them to the vet and had them weighed and one is 135lbs and the other is 137lbs.  I had to tell someone, my family thinks I'm nuts for wanting small horses and big dogs.

I posted a picture of how sweet they CAN be in my album if you'd like to see them.

You are not nuts for wanting big dogs. They are a lot better than a yippy little thing that belongs on the handle of a dust mop. Small horses, though? No comment. Ha ha.

I like the small horses so I don't need help mounting!!  Nothing worse than having to get off a horse and lead him home because you can't reach the stirrup to get back on.  In the desert there are no tree stumps or fences(that I'd trust) to help.

Sweet dogs I bet.

I have three at the house. 2 Eng. Springer spaniels and 1 Eng. Setter.

I'll try to put some pix in Mustang Sallys place.

Love big dogs, big horses, little dogs, ponies, minis, kitties, and critters.  Terri, I got a small folding tripod mounting stool from Schneiders, and it is great.  There is a string that you can pull the item up and stow it in a saddle bag.

I may have to try one of those.  I was on my daughters gelding (ponying my yearling and dropped m hands) my cell phone.  I ended up walking 2 miles back to the house.  The neighbours thought it was funny that I had two horses with me and had to walk.

I didn't tell my husband I had to walk home.  He would have laughed at me even though HE has trouble mounting this big boy.

Im more nervous arond those little yippy dogs than I am around any big dog.  That whole little man complex.  Those little dogs always run up and try to nip you on the ankles and get your attention.  The big dogs just watch because they KNOW you know their there.

I looked into those.  They look so cute!! But, I bought beefmasters instead.  Got a good price on them when I moved.  I wanted to get a couple of steers to raise for beef but since land was so much more expensive here we just got enough to put a house, barn and arena on.
