no not at all i love my cimmeron so far.. it has not leaked and has held up well..but i got a letter from them today in the mail and its stating to call a dealer and schedule a appointment for a roof sealent to be put on and it is scary.. its something to do with the roof panels not holding up to the uv sun rays... just wanted to know if anyone else has gotten this and what the general ideas are... on the matter. im not dogging cimmeron by no means or form just worried, who wouldnt be if you had a 55,000 trailer that has a recall letter on the roof.. happy trails

Well,I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems,I really am,I mean that. But I am glad to see you post that information, and show that other trailers have problems too,and that every problem that happens doesn't just happen to an EXISS trailer!!!Be interesting to see if this brings a few cimmeron owners out of the woodwork to share their problem info,or if it's just Exiss that takes a beating every time somebody gets a notion.

Didn't you read the fine print? The roof of your trailer is not intended to keep your horses dry or the UV rays out. It is highly recommended that your horses wear rain gear in wet weather and SPF 40 in sunny weather when loaded on a trailer.

Interesting.
I'm guessing that it means the sealant that they have been using breaks down (eventually) under UV rays.
In contests between rubber, sunlight and water the rubber will NOT be the long term winner. I hope they are going for some sort of a synthetic sealant, e.g. silicon.
Please let us know how it all turns out.
tnx,
PS Hopefully not something that takes 50,000 years to EVENTUALLY break down.

I have an 04 CM/Cimerron and have not issues with it at all, other than tire blow outs, & LQ things, which was not the trailer fault. I think I'll call them on Monday and see what they have to say. I certainly want to protect my investment. The letter came driectly from Cimerron? I really like my trailer, it is my 3rd goose neck, and I'd recommend them to anyone.-Betty

yes it came from cimarron trailers inc. chickasha ok 73023--its states cimarron trailers is initiating a NO CHARGE CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM to certain 2004 and 2005 moder year trailers..cimmeron has determined that a condition may exist within the top layer of your trailer'roof panel.the condition is in teh material's ability to withstand long term uv radiation from the sun.. in the interest of customer satisfaction, repairs to all roof panels suspected of having this condition.. your trailersl roof will be coated with a permanent elastic roof repair sealant.. the contact number is877-286-8757 mon-fri 8am-5pm. I also love my trailer its a 04 cimmeron norstar 10'shortwall with trailboss interior.. but this does concern me as to number one is this going to fix it for good. or is this going to make me loose thousands of dollars down the line when trying to trade or sell because of this mistake... that is what concerns me... again let me say i am not dogging cimmeron trailers what so ever but i do think anyone that has one 04 05 should have some concern... happy trails...

I have a 2004 CM and discovered what appeared to be a bubbling on the roof. When I went to the dealer and asked them to look at it they called the manufacturer. There were great. My roof was replaced at no cost. I love my trailer and didn't have any leaking problems before nor since. I understand it to have been a materials problem that didn't hold up as was originally thought it would. They wanted to replace my roof as soon as possible so no damage would occur in the LQ. They also let it be at my convenience so I didn't have to forego any specific trips. Good luck with yours. I also got the letter and will be following up to make sure there isn't a different problem. If there is I'll be sure to report back.

bjhouten::: what kind of tires are you running on your cimmeron.. have you had trouble with them alot...
I had Carlie (sp?) trailboss-something... They were a D rated tire. I had two blowouts, and replaced them with a E-rated tire. I have had not troubles since. I told my story here, you should be able to find it by searching for tire blowout. A friend that was trailer shopping said the new '06 Cimarron they looked at had F rated tires on it.

Good luck! I posted a few weeks ago about my Cimarron & they wanted $2000 to fix it. When I posted here, no one replied, so I figured I was the only one.
