My white truck has rust stains running down from where the mirrors are attached to the doors. Is there anything that will clean this off without damaging the paint? The truck is an '97 F250 PSD with 184,000 miles but it still runs like a bulldog. I just hate to see these stains on the doors.

RIDE ON!
You've lost paint from somewhere around or under the mirror.
Cleaning off the rust stains is only a short term fix, best to get the mirrors off and have it repaired, primed and repainted properly.

rubbing compound will remove the stains and also turtlewax makes scratch-filler colored wax. But I agree-- you gotta find out where the rust is coming from and fix the source.
