I am begining to build a semi trailer into a horse trailer. Need a source for drop down feed doors, dividers, manger componants, interior skins and mats, fan's, lights, water tanks(easy one), Butt windows, window bars, rear tack and saddle rack componants. Everyone seems to built trailers now days, they can't all make there own stuff do they?

Are you setting this up to haul a hitch?...or are you planning on hauling like 10+ horses?
What do you plan to pull the trailer with?...and have you looked into the DMV licensing requirements of operating a tractor tailer rig?

I am installing a 6 horse slant load with the front being a L.Q. The LQ I will get to later, but for now I need to finish the horse area.
And yes I have looked into hauling this big trailer with my semi truck with the DMV. The DMV are sweet compared to the local DOT who have been harrassing the heck out of anyone with a 1 ton truck or bigger lately. Go BIG or go home. If you are getting it with the new rules on 1 tons, wy not haul with some H.P.

Well, if you are using a 40 ft semi-trailer...I'd go with a straight load setup of 3 across...as a head to head, because it is easier to get individual horses out in any order...and it will give you even more room for LQ and a tack room...

Problem with that is we show foundation Q.H. and they will not back into a 32" stall alone fit very well. Most of our horses we show are 2 year olds and they would be easier to handle in a slant. I agree it would be easier and I have looked at it 6 ways from sunday, but it all comes down to 1300# in a 1000# spot....... Who's stronger the horse or me?
