Ok, just curious on this trailer.  I have been looking a frankly there isn't much in Michigan.  I looked at this trailer and I have been trying to compare prices.  The trailer is a 1996 Diamond D 2 horse steel straight load, paint is a little fadded but with a wax it will come back to life.  The floor is like new, horse area is not beat up from horses no rust on the interior, no padds either though, rubber mats, nice storage area under the mangers, lights all work newer tires within the last 3 years lots of tread. Bearing greased, very minimal rust, dressing room has extra window.  All and all ready for the road I belive...  Just wondering what something like this would be worth I plan on upgrading within the next couple years but wanted a good starter trailer (1st trailer I have owned, parents had rest).  Thanks

Hello SonnyP.. Welcome to the forum .. Like everything else,  oil, cars, houses, land.. Price is set by the buyer.  If a buyer won't pay the price, it won't sell.  With horse trailers, the price is highly dependant on local conditions.  That's why people buy a trailer at a long distance and haul it home.  Their local conditions say trailers bring a high price, so they go elsewhere.  You say there isn't much to pick from in your area.  That'll mean the trailer you're looking at, MIGHT command a higher price than a similar trailer 1000 miles away.

I suggest you look on this site to get a feel for pricing of similar trailers.  Do a search (Click on "horse trailers")with similar features.  Then adjust the price a bit for your area.
