I have a gal that is leasing a horse here at my barn.She is paying me a fee for the lease.Anyway she now wants to take the horse to her trainers barn where she can get regular lessons.I have no problem with that.The problem is ...Do I stll charge her a fee for an off the property lease?If so would it be less or more than what she is paying for an on the property lease?When we move the horse she will be paying full expenses for the horse including board.I am currently preg with twins and have no time for riding horses so she is sort of doing me a favor by taking the horse.Plus it will save me money.

You should have already stated all these conditions/situations in your lease agreement. What if the trainer hurts the animal? If the animal dies from the other trainers negligence who pays? What do they pay?
I'd be really careful about this type of situation. What happens if she doesn't pay her bills at the other barn and they keep the horse as security for the debt? What happens if the horse is injured and can no longer be ridden?
You should proceed with caution and possibly re-write your lease agreements in the future to include these types of situations.

I do have an on the property lease agreement which states that she is not to take the horse off the proprty unless my permission.Also states she is responsble for the horse while in her possesion.
I will have another lease drawn up for off The property lease.In which has all that in it.Don't worry I have my butt covered.I know that this kind of lease is done freqently It's just I have never done it.

I have talked with some other horse trainers that are experienced in this,and have found out that the lease fee is usally 1/4 the price of the horse per year.Like say the horse is worth 10,000 it would be 2,500 a year or can be broken down monthly.
