I had a trailer with air ride. I was told by a lady that said if you have a flat, you have to stop right away. The trailer will automatically stay low to the ground. I never had a flat on my trailer so I do not know what happens. Maybe someone can tell their experiences.

I have had a sidewall blowout from running over something that fell out of a contractors truck in front of me. I didn't have any problem at all with my air ride which is a STI. I had to go about 5 miles before I could find a place to pull off safely. The tire shredded and took out the wiring to my fender turn signal light. I really think the fact that the trailer had air ride on it helped.
